I am not a professional at this, so I make no claims for effectiveness, but I've tried to make it as safe as possible. It includes leading the reader to a safe trance and then to a quiet mind, then it leads the reader to a point of being able to do something (create, clean or attend to a task) while maintaining that quiet mind, and contains suggestions for becoming completely awake and refreshed after completing that task.
It's based on text I wrote for myself to make it easier to write when I have a mental block. Because I'm primarily visual, most of the text in composed of visual cues, but I tried to put some touch and smell cues in there, too.
If you want to try it out for yourself, find a comfortable, quiet place to sit where you won't be interrupted for a bit.
With thanks to Somnodom for guiding me through hypnosis and then setting me free to create my own experiences.

You are going to go into a trance now. A relaxed, safe, calming trance. As you do, your body will relax and your eyes will easily focus on the words guiding your experience. With each breath you relax a bit more, going farther into your trance.
Let yourself enter a light trance, a world where the light above you is clear and blue, the air around you is soft and just the right temperature, a world where every sound you hear helps you go a little further into a safe, calm state of mind.
Another breath and the sky recedes even further above. You are safe and calm and ever more relaxed, finding it easy to read these words; they're the only thing you need to focus on as I guide you to a trance state that is as far as you can go right now. It doesn't matter how deep, it only matters that you are reading these words and focusing on them. It only matters that you know you are safe and calm.
There are some pieces of furniture here. A roll-top desk, for example, with a pad of paper and a pen. Perhaps there is something you want to remember to do or think about later. You can write that down on the pad of paper on the open roll-top desk. Take a moment to write it down; anything you feel you want or ought to do and don’t want to forget about.
Once you are done, close the roll-top. Now you know those ideas and things are safe. You don’t have to worry about them or pay them any attention while you’re down here. You can open the roll-top and read your list whenever you like. But for now they are safely put away so you don’t have to think about them. Because you can put those things in a safe place, your mind is quieter. There are fewer things to say to yourself right now.
Next to the wardrobe is a wooden stand sort of like a coat rack. A soft and cozy robe hangs on it. Go ahead and put it on. Feel cozy and pampered. As you put it on, you relax even further. There are no worries here, no concerns, just an infinite amount of time for you to be yourself.
Now turn around and see the fire in the fireplace. There’s a comfy, cozy chair there by the fire. And, by the chair, a small table with a plate of chocolate and fruit. Go ahead and sit and eat a piece of whatever you like. Curl up in the cozy chair, by the fire. Focus on the fire, on its warmth, on its dancing, shifting light, and the little crackling noises it makes.
It is so quiet here, soon your conscious mind is asleep, cozy and safe by the fire. It will be your subconsciousness’ turn to be awake, full of all that extra energy freed up by having no concerns or worries or stresses. You’ve put all those things away, storing away the items you want to think about later, shedding the things you just don’t need anymore. Let your consciousness rest there, cozy and safe. See your consciousness becoming quieter and quieter. Feel your subconsciousness becoming stronger, lighter, as if you’re floating. You are so light, like a cloud or a gust of wind. Everything seems easier, the way more clear.
Your conscious mind, the one that constantly worries and constantly talks, is asleep now. Fast asleep and warm and cozy by the fire. Your subconscious mind is feeling very energetic, very free, very calm. The whole world is open to you.
There's no need to be specific about anything right now, but you can feel that the space that was taken up by worry and stress is now empty, it’s one of the reasons you feel so light and energetic. Let that space be filled with love and kindness, gentleness and forgiveness for yourself.
Take a deep breathe. Breathe in love, kindness, gentleness, and forgiveness. You can feel those things fill you up and make you feel even lighter, even more at peace, even more energized.
When you are awake again you can return to this feeling. Think of a phrase you'd like to use to return to this state of mind, something like, "quiet mind trance." You now have a key to the door to this room. The key does not work for anyone else. This is your phrase to return you to this exact point, where the roll-top desk is closed, your consciousness is cozy and sleeping in a chair by the fire, and you are safe. You will go to a level of trance wherein your conscious mind is quieted, stress and worries are dissipated, and all the energy that was going towards those stressors are redirected toward whatever task is at hand, whether it’s enjoying your family, or cleaning, or writing, or just being alone for a moment. It becomes easier to do that thing, more enjoyable, since it’s something you wanted to do, anyway, and now you can truly enjoy the thing you wanted to do, because your mind has become quieter and calmer.
In a moment you will see the numbers one, two and three. When you get to three, you will be able to move around safely, listen and speak, do anything you like, but your mind will still be quiet.
I will give you a few safe choices. You may select one. Whichever one you select is the right one for you to do right now. You will have time to choose and then you will count to three and you will be ready to do whatever it is you’ve chosen to do.
You first choice is to clean something. If you choose to clean, you will find yourself doing it happily and calmly. Things will simply appear as small tasks that will be easy to accomplish. Every task you do leaves you feeling happier and more energized. You can clean for as long as you like and, when you’re done, you will come out of your quiet mind trance feeling happy, energized and pleased that you did something you really wanted to do.
Your second choice is to play and create. Whether it’s drawing, writing, painting, creating a sculpture, singing, playing an instrument. You are free to express yourself by creating something. Since your mind is quiet, there will be no critic looking over your shoulder and judging what you create. There will only be a feeling of joy because you are free to express yourself and your ideas. The ideas flow. If they overflow, you can take the time to write them down as they come to you, just a slight pause from working on the thing you’re creating. You can work on your art as long as you like and, when you’re done, you will come out of your quiet mind trance feeling happy, energized and pleased that you did something you really wanted to do.
Your third choice is to act on one of the things you wrote down on the pad in the roll-top desk. Your mind will still be quiet and you will find yourself reacting pleasantly, kindly, and decisively. You will find it easy to articulate your ideas. You will find it easy to be calm and thoughtful. Since you wanted to choose this option, you will feel happier and more energized as you do it and you will naturally come out of your quiet mind trance once you’ve addressed the situation.
Take a moment to choose, now, whether you want to clean, create, or address a specific situation that is waiting for you. Whatever you choose is the right choice. Your mind will stay quiet until it’s the right time for you to be wide awake and refreshed.

If you need to open the roll-top desk to see what's on the pad of paper, you can do so now. You can feel that free-floating energy begin to focus on your choice.
Two
You can feel your body already knowing what you’ll want to do.
Three
Your energy is limitless. You feel confident and capable, happy and calm.
Warmly,
The Author
