Contest: My Hundredth Post! Enter to Win a Story

Posting six times a week gets a writer to one hundred posts pretty quickly. Granted, "Ray's Honey Pots" comprised nearly one-third of the posts, but I'm just pleased I have so much to write about.

To celebrate, I'm going to offer a free, two-thousand word story to a random winner selected from those who comment on this post or e-mail me at msmyrrh@gmail.com with "100th Post Contest" in the Subject line.

The contest deadline is midnight, February 9th, 2015.

The winner can decide to what extent they're involved in the story--including plot, characters, and heat.* Once the story is written, the winner gets it all to themselves for a month before I share it here or anywhere else.

I'd love to write a story for you, so comment now!

Warmly,
Ms Myrrh

*I keep the rights, including the right to sell copies, regardless of who came up with the plot or any other aspects of the story.

  1. Not many people are ready, willing and able to write stories for custom stories for other people! What a great idea for a contest and a great way to publicize your blog! I hope I win. Chuck

    1. Thank you! xoxo While I never really stopped writing, I *am* writing more erotica these days, and that makes me happy.

  4. Oh definitely include me in. Though the asterisk next to heat confused me - I thought there might be a limitation there. One of these days I'm going to be able to get it together and write again, but in the meantime I'd be happy to be a secondhand participant in the process!

    1. Alright! I've added you to the contest pool. If you want any advice on how to start writing again, try giving yourself a daily word goal. I started with 750 a day. Took about a week before I had an idea of what that meant. Took another two months to realize I was in the groove often enough that I could double my daily goal and reach it with no problem most days. I say, go for it! And be kind to yourself. :-)

  5. Yes, congrats, Ms. M! Want to hear something stupid? I just recently realized that your name is a take on "Mesmer." And it only has taken what.. ten years for me to notice that?

You probably didn't know this, but I'm really a spy. See how observant I am? ;) (In full disclosure, I'm not really a spy.)

As someone who has semi-recently begun writing again (as in, the past year and a half after about 6 years of largely been NOT WRITING) - I'm glad to see you writing again a well. And the regular blogging!

    Truly inspiring.

The fact that the blog is fantastic is icing on the cake.

I look forward to seeing your 1000th post. :)

    1. I love the subtly of "Ms Myrrh." Most people don't get it until they say it aloud. :-)

Here's to you and me writing again. xoxo

  6. Ms Myrrh,

Long time no chat. I'll take some of that action from a known mistress of the art form.

    Always,
    Archibael

    2. Happily wed. There are frequently stockings. What more does a man need, I ask you? <3

    3. Wed to the same woman, I presume, as ten or twelve years ago? Either way, it's good to hear you're still getting your stocking fix. :-)

  7. No, that was rather unhappily wed, alas. I envy those who get it right the first time. My new beloved is a much better match.

    1. Why thank you, Mr Wynd. Let's hope Mr Myrrh doesn't hypnotize me to give up blogging and I can continue to impress.
